Expanding Creative Boundaries

As any artist working with defined medium I have a legacy of works which establish my style. It makes my work recognizable but also it limits my creativity when I want to step outside and widen up my style. Yesterday I worked on this piece and decided to add my "hand touch". The final work has a different feel than my other pieces. The blues are very light and gradually turning into turquoise like ocean water. The bottom right part has that psychedelic blur when you don't know if a picture doubled or whether you loosing grasp of reality. This piece needs to be looked at in large size and will be great on light or white wall. The more light exposure it gets the better the effect it produces. Refresh your mind. Breakfast with abstraction

You start your day with coffee and orange juice to wake up your body. How about helping your mind to start fresh? Here is bright green composition with glass. Green is fresh and lush, like a morning in jungles. Except it’s a picture of large city an night:) There are two options with this print. It can me printed on paper and mounted on glass. To protect print from fingerprints and dust you will probably want to face mount it. Specialized framing shops will do it for you as there is a risk of air bubbles or dust trapped between print and glass. You don’t want this to happen, right? Another option is direct print on glass. Print on front side will look mate and will have soft reflection. Print on back side on the glass will result in high gloss and increased contrast. What would you prefer? About the...

Is saturated color good for large room with uneven lighting?

The simple answer is YES. And here is why. As an example I chose this large yellow room with brown accent wall and light ceiling and reflective floor. I can assume that the walls pained with BM Lemon Shine 2020-20. Further from the windows the walls don’t look that bright and are more brown. Soft furniture can be navy or red. Even dark green will work. It depends how you feel about matching colors and textures. Illuminated aluminum prints can have its own color of light and can be deemed to the your liking. It means that in the dark area of the room illumination plays a role of additional lighting. You can’t read a magazine but you can linger with iPad for sure :) Deep saturated color of the walls allow bright abstract aluminum prints and dark paintings. This room with prints feels quiet and warm when it’s bright...
