How to decorate dark brown wall with art print

Here is a typical situation my customers deal after buying new house or moving into new apartment: living space is renovated and looked great when they visited it before purchase but now entire space is empty. And in many cases walls are painted in dark brown or green color. Dark paint makes large spaces look smaller and more intimate. But… walls are empty and interior looks simply gloomy. The solution is to bring in bright details and décor elements. Some plants may help too (think if they can survive in low light condition though). Here an example of large wall art as a décor for modern style living room with large window from floor to the ceiling (most condos in downtown Toronto have large windows nowadays). I chose this red and yellow piece as it plays well with bright yellow sofa set and compliments texture and color of the brown...

New Abstract Print Installed

Last week I installed abstract print on aluminum into my client's apartment. It was fast and easy using aluminum push-pins. The print became a focus center piece on a wall and brought light and lot's of energy. Client is happy and so am I :) You can check out how this print was delivered and built.

Prints on aluminum

Today I received a print for my client (this is part two of 3 from Pink and Blue triptych). I want to explain how prints are built and packaged. I work with best printers in United States with proven quality and great customer support. The prints are ready and shipped after 3 days. UPS delivers them within a week. If you are from US you won't pay anything upon receiving a package. Other customers may need to pay customs fee. The prints come in a thick cardboard box. Each print is in a plastic bag which attached to a large size protective cardboard sheet. This image displays back side of the print with mounting. The size of a black foamcore depends on a size of a print. If print is small foamcore board is small enough to hide behind an aluminum sheet of hangers. The hanger has 3 holes and 4 small black soft cushions...

Romantic blue and pink

So, I like cold colors. And I like wind... Maybe because I am a Capricorn. That subconscious magnetism of solitude and deserted places attracts me to rough weather and open horizons. I also like dark and smoky places but this post about clear sky and cold transparent air and about hope that next thing you'll experience will change your life forever. What is your color?

4th day rain

It's being raining for 4 days in a row. And it's cold too. So I dream about summer and pull out some shots I made not that long time ago. I made this photo near Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto. It was one of those rare autumn warm days. The sun was already low but still very bright and old trees were glowing with fall colors. Red and orange and burgundy and brown and all kind or shades of still green. Looking back I wanted to feel that peace and timeless once again. I dialed colors down and fixed some noise. Here we go! I already miss short Canadian summer ;)
